General postoperative advice:

Plastic surgery care according to the treated areas
Each area to be treated will require special care, since areas that are more sensitive to other factors, such as sun exposure, may require a more specific type of postoperative care, where the care varies.
Body surgery
Within body surgery we can find different types such as abdominoplasty, buttock augmentation, liposuction and lifting.
Abdominoplasty
- It will require a hospital stay of approximately 4 days.
- Perform a very deep rest of 10 days after the intervention, since the total recovery of such surgery is established in approximately 2 months.
- Maintain a correct posture when sleeping, lying down or any other activity.
- Walk at a slow and calm pace, without engaging in strenuous physical activity.
- It is not advisable to shower or bathe completely when you have a girdle, you should use a cleaning sponge.
Buttock augmentation
- Maintain absolute rest for the first 3 days after surgery, and then gradually increase mobility.
- Sleep and rest on your stomach or side for the first 3 weeks.
- Respect the medication prescribed by the doctor.
- Avoid strenuous activities or high physical activity.
- Maintain a healthy and hydrated diet.
- Avoid tobacco, alcohol and anticoagulant drugs.
- Attend reviews as indicated.
Liposuction and facelift
- Use a postoperative girdle for at least four weeks.
- Avoid high temperatures, avoid bathing with very hot water.
- Follow our doctor’s guidelines and the medical treatment indicated for each case.

- Avoid physical activity, and begin a routine of moderate activity after the first month or so.

- Wash your hair after about 3 days, avoiding wetting it for the first few days.

Breast surgery
The breast area is a highly sensitive area, so the postoperative period will try to avoid complications with the objective of a correct surgery.
- Hospital admission of at least one day.
- Avoid sudden movements that cause pain or discomfort.
- Comply with the supervising physician’s instructions and appropriate medication.
- Avoid tobacco and alcohol, since they hinder healing and cancel the effect of some drugs.
- Avoid wetting the incisions, using an antiseptic for disinfection.
- The use of pressotherapy bras may be recommended.
- Cancel physical activity during the first 3 weeks.
- Comply with the revisions advised by your surgeon.
Genital surgery
As in the mammary area, this presents a very high sensitivity, especially in female genital surgeries, so this postoperative will be treated with delicacy, avoiding any unforeseen event and complication that may arise.

- Avoid hot baths, saunas and sexual activity during the first month.
- Avoid activities that lead to the opening of the legs.
- Clean the area with an intimate soap and use physiological saline solution.
